About Jessica Bailey

After 14+ years in the luxury travel and event industries I’ve set up my own consultancy to assist travel professionals with their business by offering consulting and business support (such as virtual assistant services).

 

Perhaps you're a time-poor business owner or executive in the travel industry and are in need of a few more hours in your day but don't have the resources to add a permanent person to help. I'm available for ad hoc work for as little, or as often, as needed, for clients anywhere in the world.

I’ve been fortunate enough to live in five locations during my career so far - New York, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Sri Lanka and London and, as such, have experience of working with an eclectic mix of cultures and across a wide section of global business at a senior level - most notably sales, product and commercial development, project management, business development, partnerships, leadership, branding and content creation. I also have extensive first-hand travel experience – particularly in the USA, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Central America, South America, Mexico, South Africa and Europe.

 

After having ‘time out’ of the workplace to appreciate my newborn in 2018, it is my belief that we should all have the opportunity to balance work and home and it is my goal to lighten your work day, give you that extra hour or two that makes all the difference to your physical and mental wellbeing or just give you more time to spend on other areas of your business.

 

I’m based in London but as I’m a remote business executive with a flexible working approach, I can take on clients from all over the globe. Throughout my career I’ve been entrusted to lead multiple large, complex and delicate projects. To name a few of these:

  • Headed up the relocation and set up of Mr & Mrs Smith’s US head office from NYC to LA, all while continuing my ‘day job’ as Global Sales Manager; 
     

  • Through diligent negotiation, increased product volume in Mr & Mrs Smith’s Americas' hotel and villa collection by 250% while substantially increasing commissions;
     

  • Led the turn-around of a 30-person global sales team, increasing conversion to be highest in the industry while ensuring a collaborative workplace with business strategies embedded across the team;
     

  • Increased social media engagement for one consultancy by 200%, cementing the tone of voice and branding - using content marketing and thought leadership to develop new business opportunities;
     

  • Managed a top London events venue overseeing client seminars, award ceremonies, product launches etc;
     

  • Co-ordinated and led a team of 35 medical and teaching volunteers in post-tsunami Sri Lanka, during the civil war.

Such experiences and projects certainly forced me to develop, very quickly, my project management and strategic skills, while working across all areas of business, alongside diverse roles and levels of seniority. 

My career to date has set me up as a trusted, adaptable and competent bespoke business consultant and virtual assistant.

I pride myself on my ability to take ownership of any task, being mindful of the need to leverage my clients’ time, being discreet and sensitive and recognising their reputation.

Sometimes it's hard to know what you need help with until we begin talking and break down all of your tasks, but when we do, you'll probably realise just how many things I could help with!
